BIO Chaga

100 g

Chaga (pronounced chaga) has been part of traditional Russian and Chinese medicine for centuries, which believes in its ability to revitalise and calm both body and mind. Choose Chaga in powder form with a more optimal ratio of active substances. We now offer Chaga as a mushroom powder (powder/biomass), in which the dried fruiting body of the mushroom is ground into a very fine powder using a special shellbroken method that disrupts the cell's chitinous оболочка and releases the active substances. Compared with the extract, this form has a gentler effect.

Tested at the German Agrolab.

Basic information

Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) grows mainly on birch trees in Eastern Europe, Russian Siberia and northern China. The inhabitants of Siberia brew decoctions to treat tumours and call it “a gift from God”. Without natural substances, additives or preservatives.

About Chaga

Chaga (Inonotus obliquus, Kabanoanatake) is a wood-decaying polypore fungus that grows mainly on birch trees. It initially forms perennial fruiting bodies up to 35 centimetres in size; only later, when the tree is dying and the mycelium has penetrated deep beneath the bark, do mature fruiting bodies develop. It originates from Russia and Siberia and is also commonly found in northern Poland and elsewhere. Chaga has been part of traditional Russian medicine for several centuries. It is used most extensively by the Khanty people, for whom it is highly valuable and esteemed. Chaga is rich in a large number of bioactive substances; in addition to vitamins and minerals, it also contains melanin, which gives it its dark colour, as well as the triterpene compounds betulin and betulinic acid, which it obtains from its birch host, and obliquol. It also contains very important polysaccharides – beta-glucans, flavonoids, sterols and pteridine. As a raw material, we use Chaga cultivated on birch trees in northern China (Heilongjiang Province) and eastern Siberia, where nature remains virtually untouched by humans.
