Tremella (snow fungus or silver ear, Tremella fuciformis) is an integral part not only of Chinese cuisine but also of traditional Chinese medicine. Choose Tremella powder with a more optimal ratio of active substances. Here, we offer Tremella in the form of mushroom powder (powder/biomass), in which the dried fruiting body of the mushroom is ground into a very fine powder using a special shellbroken method that disrupts the cell's chitinous coating and releases the active substances. Compared with the extract, this form has a milder effect.

Our Tremella is grown on an organic substrate. This substrate consists primarily of a mixture of sawdust, organic wheat bran, cane sugar, and natural gypsum. We use fruiting bodies to produce our extracts.

About Tremella

Tremella (snow fungus or silver ear, Tremella fuciformis) is a mushroom found mainly in the tropics, but it can also be found in temperate regions. In Europe, it occurs only rarely. It is also sometimes called snow fungus because its shape resembles a snowball. It is edible and is considered a delicacy in Japan. In China, it is also used to make ice cream. Thanks to its high content of substances beneficial to the body, it has also found a place in Chinese medicine. It contains various types of polysaccharides, such as glucomannan, glucuronoxylomannans (tremellasin), fiber, selenium, amino acids, and vitamins B and D.

Dosage

• 1–3 g daily, at least half an hour apart from meals; mix in approximately 1 dl of water and drink (1 level teaspoon = 2 g of powder)
• We recommend taking it for 5 days each week and skipping 2 days.
• Take on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal)
• When taking medicinal mushrooms, we recommend increasing your intake of vitamin C, which improves the absorption of active substances. For example, in the form of Brazilian cherry acerola extract.
